Persian Nahavand Pure Wool Rug

A very colourful dark navy Persian pure wool hand knotted rug from the Nahavand area of North West Persia, in superb unworn newly cleaned condition c.1950. Dark navy ground to the centre with an interlinked geometric floral design in bright blues, pinks, fawns and champagne cream tones. Broad dark blue border to the outer edge with matching decoration flanked by two smaller geometric design borders.
