Persian Pure Wool Rug

A quality pure wool Persian 'Shiraz' rug from the South West area of Persia in superb unworn condition, newly cleaned ready for use c.1950. The hand knotted pure wool pile with a soft red ground with navy blue geometric medallion to the centre section with interlinked geometric floral design decoration sat around the edge.
