Persian Pure Wool Rug

A Persian pure wool rug from the North West Heriz area of Persia in superb unworn condition cleaned ready for use c.1930. The close hand knotted pile with a diamond shaped motif to the centre in a navy blue ground, which is surrounded by a deep red band plus complementing geometric and floral decoration; navy blue ground infills to the corners complete the central section of the rug.
