Persian Hand Knotted Qashqai Pure Wool Rug
A fine quality Persian hand knotted pure wool Qashqai rug from Southwestern Persia in superb unworn newly cleaned condition c.1920's. The hand knotted close deep pure wool pile with a large geometric salmon pink diamond forming the main background. Three smaller interlocking medallions run along the centre of the rug with cornflower blue borders; the central medallion with a predominant cream and navy blue design and the outer two with salmon pink and cream. Navy blue panels with symbolic motifs to the corners and a broad border to the outer edge of the rug with champagne background a...nd repeat complementing geometric decoration. Superb quality and presented in excellent unworn, stain free newly cleaned condition.
