Persian Baluch Pure Wool Rug
A rich soft red Persian pure wool Baluch rug from the Afghan boarder area of Persia in superb unworn newly cleaned condition c.1920's. The hand knotted close pile with a soft red background, the centre of the rug with three geometric medallions in tones of champagne cream and dark red. Complementing interlocking geometric decoration to the background with broad triple border to the outer edge. Superb quality with slightly uneven edges, which is typical of handmade rugs, and presented in excellent newly cleaned unworn condition ready for use.
