A stylish Persian Mahal pure wool rug with navy background to the multi coloured floral design, in superb newly cleaned condition c.1920's. The hearth sized rug with dense hand knotted pile, the backing navy blue which is decorated with an interlocking repeat floral design in tones of champagne cream, soft green pink,burgundy and cornflower blue. Narrow champagne cream boarder to the edge with geometric design decoration. The design typical of Mahal rugs which are from central Western Persia. Presented in superb unworn newly cleaned condition ready for use.
