A fine quality Edwardian figured walnut free standing writing desk in George III style c.1910. Polished book matched figured veneered crossbanded top, with moulded edge sat over a pair of bow fronted wide drawers; bow fronted moulding to the sides and back to match. Three drawers to each pedestal each with figured veneers, crossbanding and moulded edges. Swept apron to the kneehole and moulded base rail with bracket feet below. Matching figured veneers to the sides and panelled back for free standing. Original brass fittings with working locks and key, plus oak lined drawers.... Presented in superb original condition with a rich unfaded colour and polish. Measures 42" wide x 24" deep x 29.5" high. Stock number 40985.
