A rare George V period silver table bell in the form of a tortoise, hallmarked Chester 1912. The solid silver shell with engraved and embossed design replicating a tortoise shell and forming the bell. Sat on a base metal body with winding mechanism below. The head and the tail forming the buttons to ring the bell. Superb quality and detail, full working order with a shrill ring ( see video ) Bears the makers mark For Grey & Co specialist in quality novelty items.
