Rare Early 17th Century Oak Bible Box on Stand

A Rare Early 17th Century oak carved bible box on the original stand.c.1630. Carved frieze panel front and matching sides with gimped corners. Lift up moulded edge top with clean oak lined interior. Original cast iron lock plate and clasp to the centre. Sat on the original bobbin turned support base with cross rail stretchers to the floor. Superb rich colour and patina. Measures 28.5" x 19"deep x 33.5"high. Stock no.37253.
