Rare Early Victorian Silver Apple Corer and Case

An immaculate and difficult to find early Victorian solid silver portable apple corer and case, hallmarked Birmingham 1842. Slightly tapering octagonal handle with rope twist engine turned finish to aid opening at the top end, the cover unscrewing to allow the removal of the internally stored coring blade. The blade screws into the handle to form a full sized knife for coring apples.
