Rare Late 18th Century French 'Capucine' Alarm Clock

A Rare Late 18th Century brass cased French 'Capuncine' alarm clock.c.1790. Convex porcelain dial with original hands and alarm marker hand. 8 Day French Morbier movement with silk suspension to the pendulum. Bell strike to the top and carry handle. Full working order. Measures 5" x 3.5" x 11.5"high. Stock no.30252 * 'Capucine' clocks were an early form of travelling alarm clocks. Originally made for Napoleon's officers.
