Rare Moorcroft Flambe Cornflower Vase
A rare colourway Moorcroft 'Cornflower' flambe glazed vase in mint condition, signed William Moorcroft c.1920. Flared rim and foot, the sides of the vase decorated with a continuous band of tube lined cornflowers and foliage. The flowers painted in a rare and unusual combination of reds and blues with a complementing blue ground to the foot and interior. The vase lightly flambe glazed with a speckled effect to the upper half. Signed William Moorcroft to the base in blue with Moorcroft factory impressions indicating a date of manufacture of c.1920. Superbly detailed throughout and prese...nted in immaculate perfect condition with no restoration or scratches. Measures 3.5" diameter at the rim x 2.75" diameter at the base x 6" high.
