A rare late Victorian solid silver toasting fork with quality engraving to the handle in immaculate unused condition, hallmarked Birmingham 1900. The solid silver handle tapering towards the top with a shaped end forming the thumb rest; high quality deep cut engraved decoration to the face side of the handle with a polished underside. The three prong fork end with diamond cut out and scroll design decoration to the mount, the prongs with chamfered edges and pointed ends for holding the marshmallow or toast. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Adie & Lovekin ...Ltd along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Sat in the original blue silk and velvet lined leather cloth presentation case and presented in immaculate unused condition with a deep shine. Fork measures 8.5" long x 1.5" maximum width at the fork. Stock number 41657.
