An unusual Edwardian solid silver money box in the style of a British post box in immaculate condition, hallmarked Birmingham 1904. The solid silver money box formed in the style of an Edwardian G.P.O. post box with superb detail. The slightly domed and overlapping top mirrors the cylindrical base, which has a small platform to the bottom which can be removed to empty the contents. The front with a posting slot for the coins and the item is embossed E.R with the Crown sat in between and words 'Post Office' below, along with a chart of posting times. Bears the makers mark for Birmi...ngham silversmiths Henry Clifford Davies along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Superbly made and detailed, presented in immaculate condition.
