A rare and fine quality Regency period figured rosewood miniature double fusee bracket clock with engraved silvered dial by Charles Edward Viner, London fully overhauled and working c.1830. The small proportioned case standing under 12" high and just over 6" wide with gadrooned cushion top and canted corners. Moulded decoration sat over the arched window door, veneered with figured ro...sewood and strung with brass throughout. Glazed view window to the sides and glazed door to access the movement to the rear. Engraved silvered dial with the makers name, Viner & Co, 235 Regent St, London along with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. The double fusee movement with original chain drive and anchor escapement, shaped plates engraved with the makers name to match the dial. Charles Viner (1776 - 1869) is extensively listed and recorded making fine quality miniature bracket clocks and oversized carriage clocks of fine quality; he worked at the Regent Street, London address from 1827 to 1850. This fine original and extremely small example presented in superb condition with a rich polish, the movement fully overhauled and working and with working locks and keys.
