A George V period engraved solid silver sovereign case with push button opening by collected maker Sampson Mordan, hallmarked Birmingham 1912. The circular case with domed sides, each with decorative leaf design engraving and the face side with a blank cartouche. Hanging loop to the top with push button to open the case in the centre of the loop. The immaculate interior with engine turned spring loaded panel to hold the full sovereigns. Bears the makers mark for collected maker Sampson Mordan along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Larger than average size and superbly de...tailed, presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 1.5" diameter x 0.5" deep x 2" high including hanging loop. Stock number 42541.
