A fine quality Victorian solid silver semi oval vesta case by highly regarded maker Sampson Mordan, hallmarked London 1885. The heavy quality silver case with domed ends and rounded edges along with slightly domed sides giving a semi oval appearance. The exterior of the vesta engraved with a superbly detailed scrole design decoration, vacant cartouch to the front and match striker to the base.
