A heavy quality engine turned silver and 9ct gold inlaid match card case in the Art deco style, hallmarked 1935. Oblong form with angled edges and cut off corners, engine turned finish to both sides and the front with five strips of inlaid 9ct gold to each corner. Press button catch and flange to the front for opening the case, the case lid opening to reveal an internal storage area for books of matches.
