A fine quality engine turned silver topped card box with unusual rising tray to the interior, hallmarked Birmingham 1933. The heavy quality solid silver box with engine turned top to the lid, decorative panel to the centre in Art Deco style; plain polished sides. The hinged lid opening and lifting a two section inner silver gilt tray (hallmarked) with decorative scroll design arms to the side; tilting the playing cards at an angle to aid removal. Gilt lined lid interior to match the tray. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmith Adolph Scott along with clear hallmarks to a...ll sections including the card tray.
