Silver Double Sovereign and Bank Note Case

An unusual Edwardian solid silver double sovereign and bank note case, hallmarked Birmingham 1901. The oblong polished silver case with hanging loop to the top and press release opening catch to the side. The case opening to reveal a gilded interior with two spring loaded disks with engine turned finish to hold full and half sovereigns. The top half of the case with fretted and engraved spring clip to hold folded bank notes. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Deakin & Francis along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Presented in excellent original condition.
