An unusual George V period solid silver doughnut shaped vesta case with inset compass to the centre, hallmarked Birmingham 1912. The circular silver vesta with cushion effect surround to the front giving a doughnut like appearance, plus inset compass to the centre, which is in full working order. The rear of the case in plain slightly domed polished silver, match striker to the base and the top third of the case forming a snap opening hinged lid to access the vestas. The hinged lid opening to reveal a clean interior. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmith William Hutton along with... clear hallmarks to all sections. Presented in immaculate unused condition.
