A superbly detailed George V period solid silver ink well in the form of a lidded sauce pan, hallmarked Birmingham 1912. Heavy quality with weighted base for stability, the sides slightly bellied with rim to the top and domed lid. Handle to the centre of the lid and silver mount to the turned ebony handle, which is set to the side. The hinged lid opening to reveal a gilt lined interior with original inset removable glass ink well. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine, along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Measures 2.25" diameter x 5" wide including handle x 2" high.... Stock number 41372.
