An unusual Victorian period Chester silver vesta case with concealed photo frame, hallmarked Chester 1895. Oblong form with rounded sides and corners for comfort in the pocket, match striker to the base and hanging loop to the top. The snap closing lid opening and the front of the case folding down to reveal a gilt lined interior with oval inset photo frame. Storage behind to hold the matches. Bears the makers mark for Saunders & Shepherd along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Presented in pristine unused condition.
