A small proportioned fine quality inlaid late Victorian rosewood display cabinet on a cupboard base stand by highly regarded maker Edwards & Roberts c.1900. The glazed top section with stepped moulded cornice to the top, which includes a dental moulding within the design. Double glazed doors below with strung and banded inlays and rounded corners; the glazing also repeated to the sides. The interior is silk lined with two quarter plate glass shelves. The slightly deeper base section with double doors, the frames strung and banded to match the top and the panels ...with superb quality decorative fruitwood inlays. All sat on tapering legs with a base shelf sat immediately above the spade feet. Wonderful detail throughout and stamped with the makers name. Presented in immaculate condition with a rich colour and polish. Measures 30" wide x 13" maximum depth at the base x 64" high. Stock number CS402.
