A very small proportioned George II period oak coffer bach in superb original condition with fielded panel front and two base drawers c.1730. Thin planked top with moulded edge to the front and sides, which is sat over a panelled front; each panel with fielded edges sat in a pegged joint frame and a waist below, which returns around the coffer sides. Two small drawers to the base with small brass knobs and moulded edges to match the lid. Fretted edge to the base with the base front and sides forming a foot. The hinged lid opening to reveal a clean interior with... original hinges secured by period hand cut nails. Superb original rich colour and original patina throughout and presented in original unaltered condition. Measures 21.75" wide x 9.75" deep x 14.5" high. Stock number 42121.
