A Small George II Period oak cased 'Cottage' longcase clock.c.1740. Brass and silvered dial with date aperture to the thirty hour movement. Strikes on a bell to the hour. Made by Robert Jones of Chester. Attached pillars to the moulded cornice hood. Slim case. Full working order. Superb rich colour and patina. Stands 74"high.
