A fine quality small proportioned Regency period single fusee bracket clock with figured mahogany brass and inlaid case; fully restored and working c.1830. The small proportioned case with superb figured mahogany veneers and a stepped top, which forms a cornice with a turned and reeded crown above. Dial to the center with gilded brass trim sat immediately below the cornice and above the bowed apron to the base. The bowed base with decorative scroll design inlays sat above small brass bun feet. Brass fish scale design fretted panels with silk behind to each side of the case and a glaze...d hinged door to the rear. Convex painted dial with Roman numerals and the makers name Thomas Hall, Liverpool. The dial sat behind a convex glass, which is set in a cast brass bezel with hinged opening. The single fusee 8 day movement with anchor escapement is original to the case and movement, and is fully overhauled, serviced and working. An unusually small bracket clock which is small enough to sit on most mantlepieces; presented in excellent condition with a rich colour and polish.
