A small proportioned late Victorian carved oak cased banjo barometer with porcelain scales c.1890. The carved mid oak case with crest to the top and leaf design decoration below. Sunburst design carving sat around the dial and carved base to match the pediment. Aneroid movement sat behind a porcelain dial with weather predictions; bears the retailers name S. Burnham, Manchester. The dial sat behind a bevelled edge glass view window with a centre reading marker mounted in a polished brass bezel. Matching porcelain thermometer scale above with original mercury action thermomet...er. Fully serviced and working and presented in excellent condition with a deep shine. Measures 7.5" maximum width x 2.5" maximum depth x 25" high. Stock number 41081.
