Stunning Quality Early Victorian Figured Walnut Chest of Drawers
A stunning quality early Victorian figured walnut chest of drawers with book matched veneers and original decorative brass fittings C.1860. Book matched veneers to the top with moulded edge sat over the eight drawer front. The top row with two narrow drawers to each side and hat drawer to the centre. Three graduated below, the base one sitting to the floor to maximise storage. Book matched veneers to each drawer with moulded panels and tucked corners. Original decorative swaged floral design handles and matching back plates. The brass locks stamped by London maker Hobbs and the upper drawer be...aring the retailers label for Maples. All drawers lined in best quality mahogany. Superb quality and original condition with a rich colour and deep polish. Measures 48" wide x 48" high x 22" deep. Stock number 36488.
