A superb quality and difficult to find 1930's Philips 9" plaster library globe sat on the original polished oak tripod foot in excellent original condition. The 9" plaster globe in superb undamaged condition with excellent colour, clarity and patination, revolving in a polished brass axis with degrees marked to the front. The brass axis sat on a figured oak baluster shaped column with three way plinth style tripod foot forming the base, plus small bun feet below. The globe bears the makers mark George Philips & Sons, Fleet Street, London. A rare top of the range globe presente...d in superb original condition. Measures 9" globe diameter x 10" maximum width with Axis x 18.5" high. Base measures 9" wide x 8" deep. Stock number 42281.
