A superb Thompson's of Kilburn 'Mouseman' adzed oak dining table with four matching chairs in wonderful original condition c.1950's. The oblong solid oak table with adzed finish to the four plank surface, twin pedestal trestle style base below. The bases octagonal pedestals with adzed finish along with a large trademark mouse to the centre of one; supporting base stretcher with matching finish. The four matching dining chairs with adzed finish to all surface, each chair with inset paneled back, octagonal legs and original leather seats along with studded edges. Each chair with a carved mous...e set to the end of the top rail with its tail returning down the side of the chair. The mice set left and right handed so when the chairs are sat around the table a mouse is sat to each corner; most unusual. The set presented in wonderful original condition with a rich even colour and rich patina; very sturdy and usable.
