A superb Thompson's of Kilburn 'Mouseman' adzed oak dining table with four matching chairs in wonderful original condition c.1940-50's. The oblong solid oak table with adzed finish to the four plank surface and twin pedestal trestle style base below. The base includes two octagonal pedestals with supporting base stretcher all with an adzed finish and a large trademark mouse to the centre of one pedestal column. The four matching dining chairs with adzed finish to all oak surfaces; each chair with inset panelled back, octagonal legs and original leather seats with studded edges. Each chair w...ith a carved mouse set to the end of the top rail with its tail returning down the side of the chair. The mice set left and right handed so when the chairs are sat around the table a mouse is sat to each corner, which is most unusual. The set presented in wonderful original condition with a rich even colour and rich patina; very sturdy and usable. Dimensions quoted are for the table. Each chair measures 17" wide x 17" deep x 33.75" high to top of chair back x 17.75" seat height.
