A superb antique Regency period two compartment burr yew tea caddy with decorative fruitwood stringing C.1830. Oblong octagonal form with cross banding to the top and front, with secondary bands of fruitwood and ebony inlays and outer fruitwood stringing to all edges. Hinged top opening to reveal a paper lined lid and cover in burr yew for the original lead foil lined two section interior. Superb original condition with excellent patina. Working lock and key. Measures 8.25" wide x 5.25" deep x 4.75" high. Stock number 34108.
