A Superb Early Victorian rosewood cased mercury stick barometer.c.1850. Made by highly regarded maker, Negretti & Zambra of London (w.1850-9 at this address). Bone inverted scales with double vernier marker for yesterday and today readings. Matching thermometer scale to the centre. Bevelled edge glasses to both. Urn shaped cistern cover to the base. Fully overhauled. Superb colour, patina and condition. Measures 39"long x 4.5" x 4"deep. Stock no.29281.
