A superb Edwardian mahogany cased eight day, three train weight driven Grandmother clock with Westminster chiming c.1910. The fine quality polished mahogany case with swan neck pediment to the top and blind fretwork infills. Matching fretwork sound frets to the sides and reeded pilasters to the sides of the glazed view window. Matching band of blind fretwork to the top of the trunk with long slim door flanked by reeded quarter columns. Panelled foot with moulded base and bracket foot. The silvered dial with engraved chapter ring and decorative engraved work to the corners and arch. Original bl...ued steel hands and strike or silent lever set to the side. The top quality 8 day movement with anchor escapement and three trains driven by weights for optimum time keeping. Fully overhauled movement, the case with a deep shine and in excellent original condition. Full working order. Measures 78.5" high x 12" maximum width x 10" maximum depth. Stock number CS84.
