A Superb Elizabethan period oak carved Wainscot armchair.c.1600. Applied arched surround around a fruitwood and ebony inlaid centre panel. Well carved crest rail to the top. Geometric carved front seat rail. Turned supports down to a cross rail base. Pegged joints throughout. Typical of the Leeds area. Superb colour and patina. Measures 26" x 21"deep x 44"high, 19"seat height. Stock no.30137.
