A superb quality George III period oak country house open pot board dresser with matching rack in outstanding original condition c.1760. Single plank figured oak surface to the base with three drawers below each with cock beaded edges and original superior quality brass handles. Plain apron below with moulded lower edge supported by three elegant turned columns. Single piece pot board to the base with moulded foot below and original bracket feet. The original plate rack sat to the rear of the surface with supporting shoes; moulded frame to the front edge of the plate rack edges with fo...rged iron cup hooks. Moulded cornice to the top and original boarded back. North Lancashire/ South Lakeland origins and presented in outstanding original condition with a superb mellow colour and rich patina.
