A Superb George III period mahogany Sheraton inlaid stick barometer.c.1810. Made by A.P.Tarone & Co of Greville Street, Leather Lane, London(w.1802-19 at this address). Silvered engraved scale with vernier maker and thermometer to the side. Glazed opening door front. Broken arch pediment to the top. Fruitwood and ebony stringing to the edges. Visible tube to the slim case down to a Prince of Wales feather inlaid cistern cover base. Full working order. Superb colour, patina and condition. Measures 6" x 2.25"deep x 38"long. Stock no.32444.
