Superb Mid Victorian Jewellery Box with Original Fitted Interior
A superb quality mid Victorian coromandel jewellery box with brass stringing and original fitted interior c.1875. The oblong box with domed top lid, the edges strung with brass, complimenting lock escutcheon and engraved cartouche to the lid. The hinged lid opening to reveal an outstanding original fitted interior lined with green silk and velvet along with leather trimming. Two lift out trays to the interior, the top one with fitment for rings, pendants and brooches. The lower one for watches or chains, and a comparment to the base for larger items. Superb quality throughout with engraved ...gilded lock plate and hinges. Presented in excellent original condition with a rich patina and an excellent original clean interior.
