Superb Moorcroft Late Florian Vase
A superb Moorcroft 'Late Florian' design squat rolled rim vase signed William Moorcroft to the base in mint condition c.1914. Wide squat form with rolled over rim to the top, the vase is decorated with a continuous band of tube lined flowers in the late florian design. Ochre fading to blue at the base background, the flowers decorated in dark blues and soft yellows with pale green leaves. Signed William Moorcroft to the base along with Burslem England impressions indicating a date of manufacture of c.1914. Presented in perfect unrestored condition with no damage or repairs. Measures 4....25" diameter x 3.5" high. Stock number 40817.
