A superb James I period oak joint stool with dished top and original patina C.1640. Dished single piece top with well worn moulded edge overlapping the moulded top rail with dished side rails. The turned and splayed legs with pegged joints and supported by a base stretcher. Very solid with dense timbers and a superb colour and original patina. Measures 20.5" wide x 10" deep x 22" high.
