An unusual and superb quality mid Victorian horn and silver vinaigrette with inset topaz to the lid c.1875. The vessel of the vinaigrette formed from a piece of polish Deer horn. Silver collar and hinged embossed floral design lid to the end, the end of the lid set with a faceted topaz. The hinged lid opening to reveal a gilt lined interior with fretted cover to the vessel. No hallmarks but tested as silver. Presented in immaculate condition
