A fine quality George VI engraved silvered thistle top paper knife inset with a moonstone, hallmarked Birmingham 1937. The long tappering angled edge blade with engraved decoration to the top, cast silver thistle forming the handle set to the top. The thistle with complimenting decoration in the manner of McIntosh and is inset with a large polished moonstone to the end. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Joseph Cook & Sons along with clear hallmarks. Presented in immaculate condition.
