A fine quality walnut cased Biedermeier period 8 day Vienna regulator in superb original condition c.1875, The slim proportioned case with stepped moulded cornice to the top, original fretted pediment sat above. Glazed hinged door to the trunk with moulded frame and scrole design capitals to the door corners, matching glazed side panels. Tear drop moulded pediment to the underside of the base, with carved crest to the bottom; figured walnut backboard to the interior. The two piece white porcelain dial with cast ormalu floral design bezel; Roman numerals and blues steel hands. * day single w...eighted movement with dead beat escapement, fully serviced and working.
