A fine quality walnut cased Biedermeier period 8 day Vienna regulator in superb original condition c.1875. The slim proportioned case with narrow 10" wide trunk has a stepped moulded cornice to the top with the original fretted pediment above. Glazed hinged door to the trunk with moulded frame and scroll design capitals to the door corners, plus matching glazed side panels. Tear drop moulded pediment to the underside of the base, with carved crest to the bottom and figured walnut backboard to the interior. The two piece white porcelain dial with Roman numerals, blues steel hands and cast or...molu floral design bezel. 8 day single weighted movement with dead beat escapement, which is fully serviced and working.
