Superb Victorian Country House Toll Ware Jug
A superb Victorian country house toll ware jug with original hand painted floral decoration c.1870. The large steel jug with broad foot and wide rim to the top and loop handle to the side with decorative lion mask mount. The original hand painted finish in dark burgundy to the foot and rim and green to the centre section. The hand painted floral decoration is to both sides of the jug with an enamelled interior. Presented in good original condition with minor chips as to be expected with the painted finish. Measures 18" high x 9.5" diameter x 13" maximum width including handle. Stock number 3...8425.
