Superb Victorian Inlaid Tailors Stick
A superb quality and difficult to find decorative fruitwood inlaid mahogany tailors stick c.1880. Tailor sticks were originally used for turning the cloth off of a roll, and this decorative example includes a turned handle and square tapering stem. The handle is half fruitwood and half mahogany with the face of the stem inlaid with fruitwood and boxwood in a chequered effect. An item not often found for sale, this tailors stick is superbly detailed throughout and presented in immaculate condition.
