A superb quality Victorian solid silver scent bottle in the form of a stylised shell sat in the original presentation case, hallmarked Birmingham 1890. The large silver scent bottle formed as a stylised shell which runs to a point at the base. Matching decoration to the hinged bayonet locking cap, the cap opening to reveal a gilt lined interior with ground glass stopper. The interior of the bottle with integral glass liner. Bears the makers mark for highly regarded silversmiths Horton & Allday along with clear hallmarks. The bottle sat in the original butterfly opening leather case with... cerise pink silk and velvet lined interior. Presented in immaculate unused condition.
