Superb Victorian Silver Owl Scent Bottle
A superb quality Victorian solid silver snap top scent bottle with engraved decoration and two owls to the front, hallmarked Birmingham 1899. The circular silver bottle with deep rim and cushion effect top, the sides engraved with a fern leaf design, along with a circular panel to the front engraved with two owls set aginst a night time sky. The hinged snap top lid with complimenting fern leaf design decoration, the lid opens to reveal a clean interior with an internal glass bottle and ground glass stopper. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Charles May & Sons along with... clear hallmarks to all sections. An unusual high quality piece presented in immaculate condition.
