Superb Victorian Silver Owl Scent Bottle
A superb quality Victorian solid silver snap top scent bottle with engraved decoration including two owls to the front; hallmarked Birmingham 1899. The circular silver bottle with deep rim and cushion effect top. The bottle sides engraved with a fern leaf design, along with a circular panel to the front, which is engraved with two owls set against a night sky. The hinged snap top lid with complementing fern leaf design decoration, opens to reveal a clean interior with an internal glass bottle and ground glass stopper. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Charles May & Son...s along with clear hallmarks to all sections. An unusual high quality piece presented in immaculate condition.
