Superb Victorian Walnut and Gilt Framed Double Stool
A superb late Victorian double width stool with decorative walnut and gilt trimed foot c.1890. The stool with deep upholstered seat covered in old velvet with braid trimmed edges. The foot with six carved legs, each with scrolled tops and reeded decoration, along with gadrooned decoration to the feet. Complementing scrolled carved cross stretcher to each side with a finial to the centre of each. The polished walnut frame highlighted with gilt trim throughout, and is in excellent original condition with no damage or repairs. The seat presented in excellent condition with old but clean slight...ly worn velvet upholstery. The stool can be reupholstered to the customers requirements by our upholsterers if required, please enquire.
