An unusual Edwardian engraved brass table lamp in the form of a serpent with counter bell to the base, rewired ready for use c.1910. The serpents body wrapped into a intertwined ring forming the base, the head rising to form the stem, scaled engraved finish and faceted red stones forming the eyes. Polished bell metal counter bell to the front with gravity action push button to the centre. Probably originally in a country house or secured to the counter in a hotel (2 securing holes to the base).
