A very unusual and rare George III period oak circular close stool in very original condition C.1760. Turned circular hinged lid with moulded edge sat over the bent wood two piece base sat on a matching turned plinth on original shaped feet. Inset brass catch to the front, opens to reveal an inner cover. Original forged iron hinge, superb colour and original patina. Ideal for use as lamp table or occasional table. Measures 16" diameter x 16.5" high. Stock number 34952.
